Romania - Floods OCHA Situation Report No. 4 9 May 2000

This is a final update on the flood situation in Romania, based on situation updates provided by the Civil Protection Command of Romania. 1. General Situation The hydrological situation is returning to normal and no deterioration is to be expected. Approximately 90% of the displaced persons in the affected area have returned to their homes. 2. National Response Damage assessment as well as rehabilitation efforts are ongoing. The domestic humanitarian assistance provided amounts to approximately 10 billion Lei. 3.
