OCHA Situation Report No. 2 Tropical Storm Lili - The Caribbean 25 September 2002

This message is not an official hurricane warning or alert for any country. 1. The National Weather Center in Miami reports that at 12:00 GMT today, the poorly- defined center of Tropical Storm Lili was located near latitude 14.2 north, longitude 68.7 west or about 300 miles/ 480 km south-southeast of Santo Domingo. Maximum sustained winds were near 45 mph/ 72 kmh with higher gusts. 2. At 1200 GMT, the following warnings/watches were in effect: 3. Tropical Storm Watch in effect along the southern coasts of the Dominican Republic and Haiti from Punta Palenque, westward to Tiburon on the western tip of the Tiburon Peninsula of Haiti. 4.
