- Requested Funds: 214 million USD
- Funding Committed: 1.6 million USD
- Funding Coverage: 0.8%
- Pledged Funds: 9.7 million USD


II. ESSENTIAL STATISTICS/DATA

11,750 million country population in 10 provinces, with 61 districts
(Central Statistical Office - CSO)

20.1% HIV prevalence rate (National Estimates 2005/6)

=D6 1.6 million people of all ages are HIV infected (MoHCW, National
Estimates 2005).

=A1=D61.3 million children orphaned by 2003, about 1 million due to AIDS
(UNICEF)

16.6% children malnourished as measured by MDG indicator underweight
(DHS, 2005/6)

1,593.6% inflation rate as at 31 January, up from 1,281.1% in December
2006 (CSO)

11% unemployment rate (CSO) though widely quoted to be 70-80% according
to the media

Z$458,000 (US$92) monthly consumer basket (Consumer Council of Zimbabwe,
January 2007)

Z$566,400 (US$113) poverty datum line for a family of five (CSO, January
2007)

Z$20,000 (US$4) minimum wage (ZCTU)


2. 4 million people affected in varying degrees and 700,000 people lost
shelter, livelihoods due to Operation Restore Order/Murambatsvina of May
